Essay Contest/Oratorical
Every year our local Optimist club of McAlester will host an essay/oratorical contest which will allow us to have representation on the district and national level. Winners of the contest on the national level are awarded scholarships that can help with the rising costs of pursuing a college education. The following links provide all the required information for submitting your entry. So come on McAlester High students this is a great opporuntity to take some of that financial pressure off your parents. (Jan 26th) New McALester Members
Well it was our pleasure to add new members Cory and Dustin Fry to our club. These two have already had an impact on our activities and I am sure we will continue to enjoy their enthusiasm and optimistic attitude for quite some time.
Welcome Guys! Remember that we are now working towards our "Just Ask" membership drive and the more people we can invite to join the more we will be able to impact McAlester for our youth.
